Pavlovo Bus Plant
Pavlovo Bus Plant (PAZ) is Russia’s top producer of small buses.
PAZ ranks among the ten largest bus-building plants in the world. In 2006, the plant produced more than 14,000 buses of various models. In total, since the start of production, the plant has produced more than 590,000 PAZ buses.
Buses bearing the PAZ brand are well known in all regions of Russia and far beyond. They boast a competitive price, simplicity and reliability in operation, and ease of maintenance. PAZ buses are at home on both roads and tracks, in severe northern climates, and at hot tropical latitudes. The role of exports is on the increase – they now represent 20% of the company’s total sales.
Since the foundation of PAZ, it has been awarded the Red Banner of Labour and the Badge of Honour, as well as the Prize of Honour at the International Bus Fair in Nice (1969).
The plant holds a certificate of conformity with the quality management system ISO 9001 with regard to the development and production of its buses as well as warranty and after-sales service.
The small bus product line features more than 30 different versions.
No other Russian bus has achieved such high sales volumes as the PAZ bus. The 7 m-long PAZ-32053 (single-door version) and the PAZ-32054 (two-door version) was and remains the plant’s principal production model. The plant’s annual production of small buses is more than 12,000 units (almost 80% of the annual production of this class of bus in Russia).

The basic model is being modernised and the range extended in order to meet current demands and customer preferences.
In recent years at PAZ, a number of new, contemporary buses have been developed and production has commenced: The PAZ-3237 – a small, low-floor bus named in 2006 as “Best City Bus” – as well as models PAZ-3203 and PAZ-3204. Pavlovo Bus Plant has also launched the Avrora project – involving the production of medium-sized buses for urban and long-distance use. Pavlovo Bus Plant is the largest employer in the city of Pavlovo (Nizhniy Novgorod Province), and it pays more taxes to budgetary and extra-budgetary funds than any other company in the city. On the basis of work carried out in 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004 and 2005, the administration of Nizhniy Novgorod Province has awarded the company the title of “Conscientious Taxpayer”.
