GAZ Group main strategic objective:
- to become a leading independent player on the global automotive market, providing the best price-to-quality ratio on the key markets for light commercial vehicles and buses, road construction equipment and powertrain equipment.
GAZ Group strategic vision:
GAZ Group will upgrade its product range drastically and strengthen its market share by offering to customers modern product which is competitive by the cost of ownership and equipped with own powertrain.
In order to achieve our strategic objective we need to:
- to gain the critical business weight required to remain independent and to transform into a global player on the global automotive landscape;
- to overcome technological lagging behind leading foreign manufacturers; to develop own design, manufacturing and technological competencies in Russia;
- to finalize the carve out of the auto component business from GAZ Group production perimeter; to create a stable base of strategic suppliers for the needs of manufacturing of existing and prospective products.
- to create the product planning and development system, GAZ PPDS; to implement the production system and the lean manufacturing philosophy everywhere;
- to upgrade up to 90% of the main product portfolio during five years;
- to develop efficient partnership with the leading foreign manufacturers of OEM and motor components;
- to implement large-scale investments into research and development, key assets and M&A;
- to achieve self-sufficiency with diesel powertrain that meet the modern environmental requirements;
- to finalize reconstruction of the sales network in Russia and the CIS;
- to enter the key markets abroad;
- to establish an efficient financial control system;
- to implement international corporate governance standards;
- to complete re-engineering of business processes.
