GAZ Group milestones in 2006-2007
 
January 2006
■ The first Ural trucks of GAZ Group were first assembled in Viet Nam, at a Russo-Vietnamese truck assembly joint venture.
 
February 2006
■ GAZ Finance Llc., a 100% subsidiary of GAZ JSC, placed bonds worth of RUR 5 billion. They mature on February 8, 2011; the interest rate per bond coupon is set at 8.49%.
■ GAZ Group won the tender of the Federal Agency for Healthcare and Social Development to supply medical motor transport as part of a top-priority national healthcare project.
■ A group of companies comprising GAZ JSC and its subsidiaries got a new unified name — GAZ Group.  
 
March 2006
■ The assembly enterprise of Ural India Limited, a joint venture of Ural Truck Plant and the Indian Motijug Agencies Ltd., started operations in India.
■ GAZ Group got down to serial production of the Volga cars with DaimlerChrysler engines.
 
April 2006
■ GAZ Group signed an agreement for purchase the DaimlerChrysler car assembly equipment and also the license for making a car on the basis of the Chrysler Sebring/Dodge Stratus platform.  
 
June 2006
■ GAZ Group signed a partnership agreement with Renault Trucks for transfer of production of heavy diesel engines of DCi11 to Russia.
 
July 2006
■ GAZ Group purchased from the U.S.-based fund of Sun Capital a 100% stake in LDV located in Birmingham (UK), an independent maker of modern light commercial vehicles of the Maxus family.
 
November 2006
■ Ural Truck Plant got down to serial production of Ural 63674 - a hauling truck with 4x2 wheel arrangement, gross truck and trailor weight of up to 40 tonnes.
■ GAZ Group has successfully completed its participation in the Healthcare national project. During the year, the Group supplied 6,723 GAZelle ambulances to healthcare institutions in all regions of Russia.
 
December 2006
■ The Likino-based bus plant of GAZ Group and MAN created the first joint city bus model — a low-floor LiAZ-52922 fitted up with German MAN engine of Euro 3 environmental standard.
■ GAZ Group announced signing of a loan agreement whereby a syndicate of independent foreign financial and lending institutions provided a US$ 100,000,000 syndicated loan to GAZ JSC.
■ GAZ Group commenced placement of 6,200,000 additional shares in GAZ JSC. Therefore, GAZ JSC is finalizing consolidation of the principal civil assets of GAZ Group on its own balance sheet.
■ The Yaroslavl Fuel Equipment Plant created a high-pressure fuel pump with electronic micro-processor control of Euro 3 standard, which is unparalleled in Russia.
 
January 2007
■ On February 1, 2007, GAZ JSC actually completed consolidation of main civil assets of GAZ Group on its balance sheet.
■ GAZ Group announced launch of new modifications of Maxus LCVs and planned achievement by LDV of operating profitability in the end of 2007 already.
 
June 2007
■ GAZ Group declared it will invest 11.5 Billion Rubles in Developing of Avtodisel Diesel Engine Manufacturing
■ GAZ Group presented new models of road-building machinery at the 8th International Building Machines and Technologies Specialized Exhibition 2007 in Moscow
 
August 2007
■ GAZ Group has unveiled its new car Siber on the InterAvto automotive exhibition in Moscow.
■ GAZ Group’s Yaroslavl Diesel Equipment Plant has produced the first units of Euro-3 compliant fuel equipment. 
■ Avtodiesel has started the assembly of its first serial engine compliant with Euro-3 international environmental standards.
 
September 2007
■ After InterAvto automotive exhibition in Moscow GAZ Group has started sales of Maxus LCV line-up in Russian Federation.
 
October 2007
■ GAZ Group launched the production of YaMZ-650 diesel engine. The company had bought the license and manufacturing equipment for this model under the brand DCi in 2006 by Renault Trucks.
■ GAZ Group has changed its location. Now the head-office of the company is in Nizhny Novgorod city
■ GAZ Group has presented the new models of Maxus LCV product range and unveiled its new concept vehicle MX100 at European Road Transport Show in Amsterdam
 
December 2007
■ GAG Group unveiled its plans to build an assembly plant in YAROSLAVL city. The plant will produce diesel engines YaMZ-530 for trucks and buses.
■ GAZ Group presented its new trolleybus range in LiAZ plant (Likino city)
